I offer song coaching on an individual basis. We’ll work with your idea, in whatever form it exists, and I’ll help you build on what is already good about it. We’ll cover music, lyrics, concept, and anything else that might be helpful. During the process you’ll learn a lot about what (sometimes minor, sometimes major) changes and ingredients make a song more accessible, powerful, and enjoyable for the listener. If you have an mp3 file, we’ll work with that. If not, you can sing it or play it over the phone, or in person if you’re local. The price is $100 per hour, or $50 for a half hour.
I also offer songwriting workshops and song critique sessions to groups. The workshops feature tools, tips, and tricks for taking your idea from inspiration to completion. The critiquing sessions focus on what is already good in a song and build on it, plus the kinds of helpful info offered in my individual song coaching sessions (above).
